Very sad that this is not accessible to me…I am Deaf…I’d thought your posts were in print format. Dang. All the best to you tho..! I am a “revert”…left the Church at age 12 when no one would teach me the faith…desite attending Catholic schools thru high school…in fact, I was soooo angry I flunked religion class all four years of highs school lol!!! Happily I returned and now belong to a parish with an assistive listening system! Thank God for gadgets!

Peggy – I actually post in two formats now, blog posts and an audio podcast that my wife and I just started. Unfortunately, I don’t have a means of transcribing the interview that I did with Gus Lloyd on his show, but I have written a three part post on my conversion story which goes into even greater detail than the interview did. On my site you could start with, “Why I’m Catholic – Context” (http://adamncrawford.com/?p=519) and then the other two parts will be linked from there. You could also go to http://whyimcatholic.com to read my story in it’s entirety all at one place 🙂

I’m glad to hear that you’ve returned to the Church and have assistive technology available to you now! I work for a company providing assistive technology for individuals with mobility and seating needs and I would echo your sentiments – thank God for gadgets!

Just heard this podcast and wanted to say thank you for sharing your conversion story with us. I am cradle Catholic but I still have a lot to learn and after hearing your story, makes me want to do so even more.

Diane – thanks so much for the kind words, I really appreciate it! I also feel like I have a lot to learn – I’ve told people that it feels like I’m trying to catch up on 1500 years of Church history that I was completely unaware of 🙂 Feel free to subscribe to the show, we always love having new listeners and hearing their input!

I want to hear your thoughts! Go ahead and keep the conversation going, but please keep it at least PG and respectful.
