She worked in the hospital and had a patient who was very distressed to be away from his wife overnight while he was ill. They were both in their 90’s. My friend mentioned to him that it was hard for her too and that she and her husband were celebrating their 21st anniversary. He smiled at her and said, “Twenty-one. That’s a good beginning.”
